Algraphy

Aluminium planographic printing on paper; similar to lithography or zincography. Algraphy was first used by Josef Scholz in Mainz in 1892. In contrast to the calcareous slate used in lithography, aluminium is not attacked by the acid; however, an oxide layer is created which promotes water acceptance.
