Colour anodisation

A two-step colour application method. The transparent anodised layer produced during anodisation corresponds to the natural colour of aluminium (EV 1).

Subsequent to this colourless oxidation, the layer can be electrolytically coloured in a second step using a metal salt solution. The metal oxides deposited in the open pores of the anodised coating produce colour shades which are stable to light and whose brightness can be assessed from light beige to bronze or even black (C11 – C14). The colour effect is not created on the surface of the material, but at the bottom of the pores of the anodised layer and so fully protected from environmental influences.
