Model of the Urania World Time Clock
Riemann Product Design Berlin

[11.04.2008]

Historical

The original World Time Clock on Alexanderplatz in Berlin was inaugurated during the redesign of the Alexanderplatz in October 1969. The design is by John Erich, a lecturer at the College of Fine and Applied Arts in Berlin. In 1966 at the same place an old Urania pillar was demolished and is responsible for the idea of a new clock.

Models of the World Time Clock are being manufactured (CNC milling and engraving, screen printing and anodising) for Riemann Product Design Berlin by Lechmann Engineering GmbH.
In future, these models will be purchased.
